I'd recomend the kit or factory team version. Not the rtr. If you get the kit or factory team you dont need any hop-ups except for a descent esc, radio, motor & servo. & alot of practce!

LOL, thanks man. I think i'll need that last one the most!

So is that Futaba 3pk good enough?

Also, like i posted before, i got that Novak Rooster revesible speed control, that would probably work with the motor on the T4 (sorry to keep asking Q's, i just want to know my facts before i buy).

Yes the Novak Rooster esc will work on it, but it is kinda big and cant be used to race. If you're gonna race I'd recomend a smaller esc like a LRP, Keyence or Duratrax. You'd also get less resistance with a newer esc.

Ok, thanks guys! I kinds figured the 3pk was good, but i'm still new to the R/C scene. Now, if you need to know anything about 1966 to 79 Mopars, then i could help you out . I'll be look'n at the team kit for the T4 and wait to buy the newest version of the 3pk.

My suggestions:

Radio: JR XR3 or XS3
ESC: Tekin or GM Racing
Motor: Stock: P2K2 Pro Mod: D6 12x1

This is just what I will suggest for a track like mine...
T4 is nice, so is the XXXT MFE ...

In My Honest Opinion

Get a Duratrax bearing set much cheaper than Associated ones.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXD034&P=0

That's the T2 kit much cheaper than the T3 kit http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXD033&P=0

I have no idea what they're on about with the T2 kit having a ballbearing in the slipper.. My T2 certainly doesn't.. The T3 only uses 12 of those 3/16 x 3/8 so the T2 set is alright.

well even if you are not racing then you should get all the RPM hop-ups for the T3. also get bearings ang a good servo (trust me i had the RTR and i upgaded the servo when i got my new radio and it made the truck handle and do everything better but it didn't help with speed). if you want to go faster then you could go down to a 19 SPEC, even if you could you probally shouldn't go bellow a 14 in a truck unless you are racing mod. you gotta keep in mind that if you want to go fast get a TC or pan car! trucks are not about speed but more about the off-road jumps and bumps. spec motor work good the Reedy Quad Mag is fast!
