Default What upgrades will you do on your new SC10 FT?

Lot of people waiting for the new SC10 FT....what upgrades do you see yourself doing to it?

Do you mean adding Bling?

An FT kit usually has all the upgrades that the RTR doesn't have.

If I got one, it'd get racer's edge hubs, RPM ball cups, STRC front aluminum hingeblock and a gear diff. I like the gear diff more than the ball diff for some reason. When I broke the front bumper that'd get RPM'd too.

ALL AE sc10's need RPM's front bumper systems, front a-arms and pivot block sets. The ball ends are nice touch as well. You know something else.. I have the fastest sc10 on our track and other than what is mentioned above the single biggest drifference btw our trucks is I dumped the AE shocks and installed losi xxx-t shocks a long time ago... I didn't use the new shocks on the FT, but vs the regular shocks that can on the sc10 those losi shocks are HUGE upgrades.

The only thing that I would change is front tires. My SC10 is as close as I could get to the new FT version and set-up is great. I would prefer to change rear toe with hubs over the toe blocks so I would love to get some of the 1 deg FT rear hubs. They also have bigger bearings too which is a plus.

Running stock class I don't see the need to upgrade bumper, front a-arms, or hinge block. I have been running stock bumper and old chassis with FT Carbon arms, carbon top plate, and stock ball cups without any real issues. Yes I have broken arms but only when I hit something wrong. If the arm didn't break then I would have broken something else like hinge block or hubs or even chassis. I would rather replace arms then the other things. The hinge pin brace seems to be the biggest thing to support the front end. I have the FT blue aluminum brace so no issues.

No if you plan to bash or race with an 8.5t motor then maybe upgrades are needed. I have been running a 13.5t lately on tight tracks and that is enough motor for me.

This will be my first 2wd truck so I was wondering what,if any, upgrades would be benificial. I'll be running a 7.5 or 8.5

I added the RPM front bumper. No special reason other than I like the idea of the bumper not begin tied to the shock tower. On the other hand, the bumper being tied in (stock) looks very strong.

The FT is awesome out of the box. The only thing I changed was the front arms to the GT2 front arms. The only reason I changed them is because I already use them on my T4 and have a good supply of them. They are a lot stronger and won't break as easy.

I'd go to the associated announces Factory Team SC10 thread and read through it instead of yet another thread about the same questions that have been asked ten times over, but that's just me.
