Lipo Question! Help!
Ok so my friend let me borrow his lipo to put in my hpi blitz that has a castle 7700kv motor and sidewinder esc. It ran and drove like a beast but then we put it in again and it wont go forward nor backwards but the esc lights up green for forward and red for backwards and yellow for neutral still...BUT The truck is still able to steer! Whats wrong? we checked the battery and it's almost fully charged.
Help me out! Thanks! |
Check all your motor lead wires. Is the BL motor sensored? The sensor wire may be bad as well.

The part i don't get is we put in the lipo ran it for awhile then ran it a few more separate times then it did whats stated above....but meanwhile I can throw in a NiMh battery and it will run fine. |
So it runs fine with nimh but not with the lipo? That is very odd. You say you checked the voltage of the lipo and it is above 7V? I am not all that familure with the sidewinder so not sure if there may be some other setting in there that my be messing with stuff.
Sensored motors have a separate sensor wire that plugs into the back of the motor. I am assmuing your setup is sensorless though. |

Make sure the lipo cut off on the esc is set correctly,
