anyone using lrp sxx stock spec with 10.5 motor?
i jus was curious about this setup.i am willing to try it out if motor and speedo can work well with each other. i currently run the lrp sxx stoc spec with a x12.13.5 and love it!! any info would be appreciated.from my understanding the 10.5 is borderline stock

A 17.5 with any kind of timing advance isn't even close to stock. There is no "stock" racing anymore.. Throw a 27 turn brushed motor in your car, thats what stock is supposed to feel like.
Now I love speed dont get me wrong, and I race my 17.5 in a 13.5 class competitively with the amount of boost I run. But to say that a 10.5 is close to stock is kind of absurd

Assuming you are going to run 1/10 scale 4WD buggy, you will be fine with any motor over 4.5 (at 7.4v). That's what LRP's website states. You may want to buy a fan for the speedo to keep it cool with hotter motors. With 2WD Shortcourse and a 10.5 motor, my speedo gets warm(about 110*) with no fan and runs great. Oh, I also run the boost setting at 10% (or one blink). I race on an indoor clay track.
