Thumbs up anyone using lrp sxx stock spec with 10.5 motor?

i jus was curious about this setup.i am willing to try it out if motor and speedo can work well with each other. i currently run the lrp sxx stoc spec with a x12.13.5 and love it!! any info would be appreciated.from my understanding the 10.5 is borderline stock

thanks

You can send e mail to LRP company, they will help you with details.

Sup! I'm currently running the LRP SXX Stock Spec with an LRP 10.5 in my 2WD Short Course rig. What do you wanna know?

A 10.5 with timing advance is as fast as any 13 turn modified motor ive ever run.

A 17.5 with any kind of timing advance isn't even close to stock. There is no "stock" racing anymore.. Throw a 27 turn brushed motor in your car, thats what stock is supposed to feel like.

Now I love speed dont get me wrong, and I race my 17.5 in a 13.5 class competitively with the amount of boost I run. But to say that a 10.5 is close to stock is kind of absurd

Assuming you are going to run 1/10 scale 4WD buggy, you will be fine with any motor over 4.5 (at 7.4v). That's what LRP's website states. You may want to buy a fan for the speedo to keep it cool with hotter motors. With 2WD Shortcourse and a 10.5 motor, my speedo gets warm(about 110*) with no fan and runs great. Oh, I also run the boost setting at 10% (or one blink). I race on an indoor clay track.

110 is a good temp for thre speedo i prolly could go 2-3 blinks on a 10.5 on a 4wd 1/10 but im def gonna start at 1 blink also what timing insert are you running on the x12 10.5?

thanks man

I haven't messed with the timing insert so it's 'as is' from the factory. I tried 3 blinks of boost with my 10.5 but it was too much for 2WD SC. You should be able to handle 2-3 blinks of boost with 4WD.

Good luck!
