suspension pins bending!!!
i keep bending the suspension pins on the front of my rustler. this is like the fourth time. i have rpm caster blocks. whats happening is the caster blocks are bending, not breaking, but when they bend, its allowing the pins to bend. i think i need to get the alluminum caster blocks. they shouldnt bend. im getting tired of ordering pins and replacing them :flaming: any advice?

Are the pins steel? What on earth do you keep hitting?
|
Well I hate to sound like a d--k but it would help a lot more if you stopped crashing into things that causes the pins to bend.

i never said im crashing into things. i jump about 6+ feet in the air sometimes. plus i hit the front side of the jump on a double some times.
That by definition is a crash, i.e., Lawn Dart, Casing and Chassis slapping are all forms of crashes. |
im thinking about getting the trx aluminum caster blocks. theres another brand called st racing. which would you recommend?

yep, those vertical pins bend really easily. There are two traxxas pins that are almost the same length, but one is slightly longer- you should be using the longer ones.
I replaced mine with the thicker traxxas kingpins that use eclips on both ends. You have to drill the hole a bit bigger, but they are much more solid. I don't know what vehicle they are made for, I think they are for the nitro rustler. |

And that is what you consider not crashing?????

When ypu break (bend) stock parts, try to upgrade or expect more of the same. These are Ti - will be stronger than what you're bending now (soft steel) -
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVAH4&P=ML Or from Lunsford direct - http://www.lunsfordracing.com/mm5/me...Code=TRUC-TRRU |
