I believe the diff bearing is 4 x 8 x 3mm .Do you have some calipers or even a ruler? you may be able to do a check on this.

Hey Guys,

got some news. Academy is working on a RTR version of the SB. From what I have been told it looks like it will have a stock motor, and Futaba Gear ( MC230CR speedo, Radio, etc ).

There are also some people out there that have converted the buggy to a truck. I may look into this!

when i first got mine, it glitched like mad! Also, it took me about 1 week to get it to handle on an outdoor track that i race at once a month. i think it is a decent car, but requires someone with patience to work on it. i finally got it to stop glitching, and then sold it to boatdork

Can't see how the glitching can be down to the car to be honest, and as for setting up, never known a car so simple and easy to setup, fir and forget.

WooHoo! Got the SB today! Thanks Biscuit!

The SB Pro looks sweet, but I am cursed with the "gotta have it last week" syndrome.

DA_cookie_monst - did you make that one piece top plate yourself? Have someone make it? Does any mfg make them? Do you still use the lower plate with it I assume? Any info you can provide is much appreciated. I plan to convert this thing over to all graphite asap, even if it means having to buy the expensive Academy parts, and I think that a one piece top plate is the way to go.
Where do you get your CF from? I think that I can get some quality CF sheets from www.wccomposites.com and possibly make my own, depending on how the price works out.

I made the carbon fibre top deck myself, although Kose do one that is full length, I did make it with lugs in to carry the full height steering posts too, but I have had a change in tack there, and will make a seperate bolt on plate for the steering posts.

If you use the standard arms, you have to keep the front plat, if you go full height on the steering arms, you can ditch it, but will have to put two support posts in places of the two piece posts.

If you make it yourself, get a mask and gloves, and cover your forearms, Carbon Fibre is a bitxh, it irritates your skin, gets up your nose and in your lungs.

I think there are some on ebay right now. Search for SB, then search for Academy.

Yeah, there is one on there right now. Looks like the starting bid is $150.00 for the stock car with no electronics.

Anyone know what size the bushes are for the steering posts? I'm due to take delivery of the new Pro car shortly and I don't know if the steering comes ballraced - if it doesn't I'd like to be armed with the right size ballraces when I build the kit.

Cheers.
