Anyone know who Academy's top driver is right now? Is he or she on the level of say a Greg Hodapp and those guys?
Cain, I just recived my sb sport from Tim today I plan on doing some running in my local area to help promote the car around here for MRC. Lets hope 4 wheel comes back alive in my area. AS for Factory drivers going to the nats. I heard John Noon from LONG ISLAND RACEWAY may be running a sb 4 wheel at the nats not pos. just a rummer. If so I know hell give it a good showing lets hope he runs it and fairs well. Hes always had great results recently in major races thats probally why assoc. picked him up. Last I heard the assoc. wasnt ready for him so he was allowed to run a sb 4 wheel as long as it wasnt losi Hope to meet you soon when I make it out to conn.

If you want to hook a fan up without the need for another battery, attach an old servo lead to the end of the fan wire, and just pop it into the Battery slot in your receiver, that should do the trick.

As for cooling, get as much fresh air in there as possible, one better bet for the fan is to mount it below a hole in your shell so it blows cool air onto the motor. Then cut the undertray away under the motor, and make sure there is toom for the air to get out at the rear of the car.

Go to www.raceacademy.net for team driver advice in the UK, I know we are sending quite a few drivers to the European Champs later this month.

Default Academy Drivers

Its great to hear there will be sponsored drivers using the SB at the USA National events.

As Steve said we will be sending 4 drivers to the European Championships. In the UK there has been a good turnout of SB's at the nationals for the last 3 months, and we are very pleased with the results.

We are very hopeful of some good results at the Euros, and then we would hope to have the same 4 drivers at the Worlds next year.

I believe at presant there will be about 12 SB's from the UK at the Euros, but it seems to be going up every day.

I will keep you posted on the results.

I will add a page to our website at www.evolutionracingproducts.com and update a Euros page daily so everyone knows what is going on with the Academy cars.

Many thanks

Thanks for the info everyone.

It would be good if Academy would have some US drivers directly sponsored to race here. I am not good enough for that, I am better as the "can I break it" tester

If anyone has pics of how they did there body for cooling please post. I would like to see what people are doing and get an idea on what I want to do before hacking into it.

If the body was made alittle different, you could mount an AE heatsink / cooling fan on there. That little unit worked quite well when I had it. Just cut a hole to allow it to suck air in. only thing I think could be an issue would be dirt getting into the fan, but that could be like that for any fan system.

I still haven't gotten my part from MRC.

I am hoping that tim was able to get it out to me as I called them to see when it was dropped in the mail ( shipping to CT doesn't take long ) but there wasn't any record of that so the lady I spoke with ( quite nice ) is going to check into it and give me a call.

I am also going to call my LHS track director to see what he got in from academy part wise. If push comes to shove, I will have to pickup the axles direct from him if he has them or the dogbones.
