Hard Indoor Tennis Court Felt Surface, What Tyre on a 4wd buggy (DB01)
Hay all,
Im running my buggy (DB01) at an indoor Felt/carpet tennis court and at the moment its a test for a winter venue. Im currently running bald worn Tamiya stock (k type) tyres and they are not to bad once warm but still slippy. Others are running worn shue yellows, some have tried new spikes but the surface is so course it will eat the spikes in one night so there is £15 down for one nights racing and they don't offer much more grip than my bald tyers. I was running 16 laps whilst the others where running 17/18 and lap times where only a few seconds apart as a comparison between my bald stocks and the spikes.
Has anyone run on a similar surface? I was thinking of trying a more road type of tread but to be honest i'm a bit clueless and i think the rest of the guys are just trying anything they have in there parts box.
something more like the HB GIGABITE TIRE which is a hard clay type, or a road tread?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
VV
