Car, truck, 4wd; What are you runing and where? Cars (buggy) do well with higher RPM motors, like monsters. Where as , trucks and 4 wd are better suted to a higher touqe motor, such as p2ks.

I use a Trinity Monster stock on open fast tracks due to its high RPM ,I usually have to drop 3-4 teeth on my pinion due to its lack of low end. On all other tracks a P2k2 works good, and a Orion Core is awesome as well. In stock class it really does help to have a high RPM and torquier stock on hand to experiment with. unless you are going to only one track than you might want to see what all the fast guys use.

Also pick up assortment of pinions, stocks tend to be picky on gearing.

Paul is able to tune his Monsters to develop as much torque as any other motor with far more RPMs. For that reason we use Monsters in everything. Since you must gear them at least one pinion lower than anything else, and in most cases two pinions lower, the torque is huge!

For offroad:

Buggy - P2K2, Monster, Binary 2 (unless ROAR rules apply), GM3

Truck - P2K, P2K2, Hellfire

Just my $.02

For Buggy-Monster, or Binary, Team Orion Core

For Truck-Monster, or Team Orion Core, or P2K2(Pro)
