I think youre gonna like it a lot , the drivetrain is near bullitproof and once you get it set up it drives like a 1/8 buggy and is a very fun ride .

What motor/ESC are you getting ? Did you get the Tim Bump Edition ?

What you need to do is knock some sense into your local track operators and have them separate 2wd and 4wd.

Spacers on the shock shaft is needed, also you may want to look into the jammin steering mod. It makes a good difference when on a small tight track.

the spacers are to limit how far the shock compresses right, not how far it drops out????????

Droop isn't a issue. Mainly the up travel is what is killing the axles.

If it were me, I'd tear it down from the get go so your familiar with the truck. This would also be a great time to throw oil in the diffs instead of grease (which is comes with). A good starting point is Front: 5K Center: 7K Rear: 2-3K.

I am runiing the Bump setup , but I am using 2000wt in the front and its feeling really dialed on my track , cant wait till next race day Gonna put a hurtin on some Slash 4x4's !

Stock the front and rear just have grease in them and the center had some oil in it but I dont know the weight and mine felt loose and wouldnt accellerate the way I like after I filled all the diffs it was a big improvement .

Another thing you might want too look at is moving the battery tray back 32mm since you didnt get the Bump Edition .

I thought only the original release Hyper had grease, and that was only in the rear diff. I believe the updated version comes with oil in all three diffs. I haven't opened them up yet, so I could be wrong. Also, the newer kit comes with the spacers required for the rear shocks to prevent bending the dog bones. Just make sure you put them one when you build the shocks. Another tidbit of info, I'd recommend using some form of lubrication on the center dog bones. I assumed they had been greased from the factory, but after a few races they were showing tremendous wear.
