Default KOMODO DRAGON SPEC 19 SET UP

i just bought a komodo dragon spec 19 for 1 of my slashes. i didnt come with wires so i had to cut off the wires from the original motor to solder to the new motor. on the titan 550 motor there are tiny brown circular tabs that are soldered from the wire to the side of the motor. there is one on each the + and - sides. can anyone tell me what these are for and should i transfer them to the new motor also?

Those are capacitors (a.k.a. "caps"). Yes, transfer them to your new motor.

You don't need to transfer them. The Komodo (and most rebuildable trinitys I think) have integrated internal capacitors.

Edit: They cut down on the radio interference emitted by the motor.

I believe the caps give the motor enough power to start rotations initially. Like a motor starter on an industrial fan.

I would also remove the connectors and go with the deans plugs. The stock traxxas barrel connector has a lot of impedance. You'll notice to get a lot warmer

yes the komodo dragon has a small circuit board which has these caps on, so do not put the olds one on.

The caps are purely for radio interfence... i am lead to believe that if using 2.4G radio you dont need them period.

Please correct me if i am wrong
