Why are you starting another thread telling us about your aluminum upgrades? There are already numerous threads for the Rustler including your own.

And besides, you're looking to trade this car off to anyone that'll take it.

its for anyone that has a rustler. and i would trade my rustler for the right trade. its not like i really want to get rid of it. but i would upgrade to something faster/bigger.

Default Rustler wire rub?

Just bought a like new Rustler VXL and was looking it over today. Did anyone notice that the power wires coming off the ESC rub against the left rear shock springs as they pass by it?
I did a simple fix by drilling a small hole in the body tub near the wires and then putting a small tie-wrap around the wires and through the drilled hole. This pulled the wire away from the shock spring by about 1/3".
I was concerned that all the vibration and movement will rub the rubber off one or all three of the power wires.

Default Rustler classification

I know what class my Slash runs in but I just bought a used Rustler VXL.
Is this a truggy or buggy?
Traxxas calls it a "stadium truck".

Default Rustler class

Thanks for your reply regarding what I would be racing against. Since I'm new, I don't know the slang/abbreviations for many of the cars.
What are t4's, xxxt's and could you name other manufactures and car names that I would be racing against?
Also, at my local track, what class would this be in? The only modifications I've made is put Pro=line tires on the back for more grip in clay.
Thanks again
Rick

There is already a Rustler thread out there. Maybe you should just merge this with that one.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-xl-5-vxl.html

My daughter had an XL-5 version. It was a fun truck to play around with.

There has been only 1 post to it this year and before that Oct 2010.
Not too active I would say.

To clarify..

Stadium Trucks or ST: 2wd open wheel 10th scale trucks. Trucks such as the Traxxas Rustler,Associated T4,Losi XXXT and others race in this class.

Short Course trucks(ill handling longer scale looking trucks based on the old ST platform) These trucks use special SC tires, bodies and bumpers. Base on scale trucks... TRucks such as the Traxxas Slash,Associated SC10 and Losi XXX-SCT run in this class.
