I`d stay away from the cheapos on ebay . Nothing but problems . If you don`t want to spend $100 for a lipo http://hobbyking.com and hobbypartz.com have some good priced lipos that have been know to be very good and safe .

I second that.... I bought my first lipos from hobbyking. They are amazing and for the price I'm very impressed with them. I'm pretty heavy into racing and with Chinese lipos and less popular brushless systems ( no tekin rs here) I'm able to keep up just fine. My hardcased trunigy 5200mah 30-40c lipos punch super hard and give great run time and they always balance out to within .01 of a volt. Oh and they are 24 dollars and they are the "expensive" ones

I'm always suspicions of cheap batts found on eBay - they're usually an unknown brand and look to good to be true price wise. You'd be better off with lipos from either Hobbypartz (if you can catch them in stock) or HobbyKing. These are known performers.

There was an eBay re-seller that was selling HobbyKing lipos on eBay, but I don't know if he's still active.

As soon as they are back in stock I`ll be selling Turnigy 2S 5200 30C lipos here for a cheaper more reasonable price then others have in the past . I`d rather sell for less to help sell more and give people a better deal . I`ll be ordering a bulk supply while reducing shipping costs per lipo which helps me reduce the price to fellow RC Tech members .

Like others have said, the cheap Ebay packs are extremely hit or miss if you get a good one or not. The Hobbyking packs are proven to be mostly good. Plus if you check the shipping on those ebay packs you will see they are not very cheap after all.
