Default Mini t monster motor

I just put the Trinity micro monster motor in my mini t, it gets really hot when I run it, I am not running really hard and it still heats up a lot. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ty

Are you still running bushings in the hubs and front wheels? They can go bad pretty quickly after running in dirt.

Check and make sure there is no binding, and go to bearings if you can.

You could also try re-gearing your Mini-T.

Re-gearing might help, but I ran my motor with the stock gearing when I first got it, and it wasn't as bad as what "Gord" described. It would have to be something bound up, or a problem with the motor.

My friend has a Mini-T with a brushless and a custom speed control, and he clocked it at 68 miles per hour today! Speed was obtained via a radar gun. He said is was still accelerating but the wind got under it and made it into a airplane!

I've been running the mini-monster for a while and have had no problems with the stock gearing. Check your gear mesh, If it's to tight it could cause the motor to over heat.

That was going to be my second suggestion.
