The ESC monitors temps while the timing is advanced and reduces them if it rises to unapproved levels. Seems pretty cool.

The post-run temp indicator should also be a huge help in keeping esc temps in a safe range. Press our OneTouch™ button, and the number of LEDs lit up indicates the esc temp.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they are identical motors, but the Ballistic is rebuildable & the HV is not.

The performance of the motors is the same. The Ballistic 550 features fully adjustable timing and a plug-in sensor harness.

The biggest single advance with these Ballistic motors is the replaceable wound stators---both to repair damaged motors and experiment with different winds.

Our 550 Ballistic motor has a 5mm shaft and uses Mod 1 or 32 pitch pinions. We are including a free gear with each system:

The Havoc Pro SC System – 4.5T (#3115) includes a free 5mm Mod 1 Hardened Steel Pinion Gear, and the Havoc Pro SC System – 4.5T TRA (#3116) includes a free 5mm 32-Pitch Steel Pinion Gear
TeamNovak's 5mm gears:

Mod 1

32 Pitch
