will this motor work with the stock slash esc?

Yes it will work but if your wanting to race stock class no 17.5 or 27turn. If your just bashing 17 turn is fine, although that motor is not worth your money not a good motor to buy. Look at Fantom motors lots of power and low temp for longer lasting run time good for bashing or racing.

Yes, but I would not run it. The motor is known to run hot and burn up easily. I would get something like a speed gem from Trinity or a reedy flash motor. They will last longer, can be rebuilt to maintain performance and generally better.

The speed limit is 15 turn for a 540 brushed motor, but I wouldn't run anything more then 17 turn with a lipo because they can put out a lot more power and that could over heat the mosfets in the speedo.

The Reedy Flash Series motors are higher quality and will produce more power with a longer lifespan. Plus, they are completely rebuildable.
