This would also allow for the standard tekno battery tray and mounts to be used and maybe with good design a servo for mechanical brakes

Well actually, a lot of places run "production only" rules and that would not cover conversions... I wish.

Can you weigh your Ten-SCT? If it's @6lbs.... then I would put it in the same class as the ofna trucks.
They are not the 8ight parts, they are smaller and lighter for sure. This conversion is around 6.5lbs. The Jammin' and Hobao trucks are based off of their 1/12 mini-truggy platforms, not 1/10 scale.

A bit noisy but not chewing it up. I expected the gears to be all mashed up but so far they appear to be holding up.

It has been raining cats and dogs here in the UK so I didn't get much of a chance to run several packs but I have already run it for an hour so.

I was wondering who would be the first to convert it to a sct. I was worried about the width but it looks like you would the way around that. Only part that sucks is I would have to buy all new wheels again.

This is really what I want and was waiting on the rcmonster kit before I thought about doing one. Only problem is I bought a jammin last month and already have money into that.

The truck does look beefier then my jammin thought and I like that the shocks looks a lot better then those little crt.5 ones my truck comes with.

Is that with a 2s or a 4s pack? Want to see how much more it weights then the rest of the 4x4 sct's.

So you guys got it done. That is awesome. I'd love to take it for a spin sometime. Maybe next week I can make it out to ARC.

Cool. 6.5lbs is pretty close to an ofna but still heavier. The one I saw felt as heavy as a typical 1/8 buggy and it still had the stock body and tires.

I think we might end up with two 4x4 SCT classes. Pro4 and ProLite4 for the true 1/10 4x4 if they ever get made. A 1/10 4x4 should come in at the 5lb mark, which I think is about the limit for typical 1/10 gear. 6 is pushing it for sure. 7 really needs 1/8 equipment to run right.

This is a cool truck for sure, especially if it can cut weight just a little.

The Jammin crt.5 looks alot bigger then any 12th scale I have seen. Looks more like a 10th scale to me. This truck is nice to just wanted to say that. I havent been bit by the SC bug yet but these 4x4 ones look tempting. I wonder if Losi is going to make a 10T-E?

This truck may be considered "outlaw" but if we never have people that are willing to sit down and build trucks like this we will have the same stuff runnin around. This is a great truck becuase he used something he already had and built a truck that can be competitive with the other trucks that are racing now. I know for a fact that this truck was not built to be a cheater. It was built because he wanted to build it and have fun. Race what you have and have fun. How many of you race at ROAR races? Good job Zach!

4x4 SC should be spec motor.
1/8th buggy should be open.

I don't think that anyone would compain if they had to run a 550 sized 4.5 turn novak motor. If they want a slower car then dial down their epa just like alot of people do w/ 1/8th electrics any ways.

In no way, shape, or form would making the bazillion slash 4x4 owners buy a 100$ motor to race be beneficial to the growth of the 4x4 class. Having a spec motor for this class has to be the worst idea I have ever heard
