what kind of track are you racing on? I ran my D8Te at our indoor trophy race last weekend where I TQ'd the second round, and than backed it up on the third round(the only truck to run a 17 lap pace). it was the best my truggy ever felt in a long time on our clay track..

heres my set up

RC Product Designs conversion kit.
tekin 1700kv truggy/MMM ESC
Turnigy 5s 5000 30c
1.2 pistons on all 4 shocks
AE 30w on all for corners.
white front springs
blue rear springs
Kyosho 2.5mm rear sway bar (KYOIF460-2.5)
Kyosho 2.3mm front sway bar (KYOIF460-2.3)
Tekno RC D8T towers Front and Rear
Inside bottom hole on the front and rear towers
Inside hole on the rear hub and front castor block
Outer shock mounting holes on the front and rear towers
Inner shock mounting holes on the front and rear arms
35mm/37mm ride height
5/7/2 oils
Jconcept Blue Sevens with used AKA foams
tire washed and zip-grip2 20 mins before every run.

This is the thread I've needed to see. I have a roller on its way in the mail that I'm going to convert. You've done a lot to your's.

One thing that caught my eye is your diff fluids. Everything that I've read so far indicates you have to run much thicker fluid for the truggy, but yet you are running what a buggy would use. Can you explain why?

Except for the electric conversion, mine will probably stay pretty stock. How do you like your conversion kit, espeically the motor mount setup?

since the vorza is basically a d8 do you think the battery holder and motor mount will work to convert a d8t

the track I was running on is small with a lot of infield turns so the heavier oils weren't needed.

I love my conversion the motor mount is great I haven't had any problems with motors coming loose or anything like that. the Battery tray is HUGE!(170mm x53mm) all of my current batteries fit along with enough room to shift weight around if needed.

just keep tweaking the set up until you find something you like. After owning 4 different E 8th scale I've come to the conclusion that gas set ups for the most part don't work the best with our cars just buy a couple of springs and work with it.

I'll be able to tell you in a few days. I have a Vorza. You will probably need to drill and tap holes for the screws, but other than that, I don't see why it wouldn't work. The advantage if it does work is a fully adjustable battery box that only costs $18 new retail.

you'll still need a motor mount the vorza will not work. the closest fitting battery tray with minor mods is the losi but its cheap and does break easy.

Yes, I'll still need a motor mount, each piece can be purchased seperately.

Right now, I'm considering either the RC-Monster or Elite RC motor mount. I may get the RC-Monster receiver box too, which can also be purchased seperate.

I really like the battery tray in my Vorza, probably the best design in a long time. I'm also going to test fit the Vorza ESC mount tray as well since I'm using a CC MM ESC, which is identical to the Blur ESC. Looks like there is plenty of room on the D8T chassis.

Since I have these parts, it won't be hard to test fit and find out. I won't make any new holes or anything until I'm sure about where I want things to be mounted.
