Looks like the body was infected by a virus absorbed by the Seahawks decal!! (KIDDING, only kidding) Actually, looks like you used non-lexan friendly paint, Testors perhaps? It also helps to keep the wheel side down! LOL (Been there, done that, wrote the book) Time for a new body, you can paint on the inside of those with lexan paint, won't crack.

The paint just cracked. Nothing really to worry about.

I have bodies, despite using lexan paint, that all the paint has almost either scraped (I did paint the inside) or cracked and peel off. THe body is still perfectly good.

Just keep bashing because I dont see any holes or cracks in that body yet.

Make sure that before you paint any LEXAN bodies from any company that you wash the body with warm water and a liquid soap. The reason is during the molding process, they use what I call "Mold Release" to keep the plastic from sticking to the mold. This release is usally the reason the paint will flake off the body later on. Sometime's it is just a bad can of paint. Make sure you are using paint intended for lexan bodies. Not all automotive paints will stick to plastic and your best bet is to use the paint you can buy from your local hobby shop.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but did you paint the outside of the stock Maxx body?

It looks like the red & other printed colors are showing through..?

If you did in fact re-paint the body on the outside, that is your problem right there. Even lexan paints don't last well on the outside due to the rubbing and scraping. Non-lexan paints will chip off either way, but putting the paint on the outside isn't going to last long either way.

vette - You used a good dish soap, like Dawn, right? Sometimes if you use the wrong soap ( like hand soap that have moisturizers in it ), it will also cause it to flake.

There have been "problem child" neon lexan paints out there. I had one brand that I tried to use do a two color job and, after letting the first coat dry overnight, the second coat, a different color, caused the first one to bleed all over, causing this crappy melt of a paint job, ruined the body so I blew it up with a M-80!!!
