I have an old RC10 with a stealth transmission and old motors. Do you think i could keep up with the new cars. Are there any dirt oval tracks still in Florida?

On off road? No way. On oval? maybe. The motors won't be worth a darn, but the chassis could still be made to work in oval I bet. You'd have to make sure your tranny spins forever without the motor. You would need modern electronics to be competitive. (motor, batteries, speed control)

The rc10 is still competitive. I ran one with brushless and lipo and it kept up just fine.

The RC10 can be competitive, but you're going to have to update your electronics. The stealth transmission can handle modern brushless motors, just figure out how to make a Lipo fit!
The RC10 is considerably heavier than the B4's, so you get a little more stability. The buggies easier to drive, but the trade off is your going to loose a tenth of a second a lap to a B4/ T4. Capitalize on pressuring other drivers into errors.
The other aspect is an aluminum tub RC10 is built like a brick s&%t house, in comparison to a B4. Crashes that would take a B4 out, the RC10 might survive.
Ultimately it would come down to the man behind the car, and not the car in front of the man. Drive to win and you should be able to get to the winners circle.

It's still competative. Just update the electronics and spend a little time "getting to know your car". Also you might want to pick up an RPM stealth 2.65 conversion kit Part# 80551. That will give you a gear ratio closer to that of a B4's. and while your at it buy the new delrin idler gear part# 6507. It's much stronger than the black plastic one that's in the original stealth. A lot of useful parts for the RC10 are still made by AE & RPM, as well as some other companies. If you want to go all out you can use the B4's top shaft and slipper assembly as well. As scribbler said, the RC10 is built tough and with the right setup and driver it can still be intimidating at the track.
Keep it old school!

Most of the stuff that usually brakes is still available through AE's site and Towerhobbies. Only things that are "hard" to find are: Wheels, rear shock struts, Tranny case and rear bulkheads. But like you said, you can find those on ebay most of the time...

Unless its a worlds in mint condition with no scraches on the bottom, then run it. I run mine every chance I get. More then likely you will be the only one out there running one and every racer will be watching your car race because it brings back memories.
Thats what happened to me, I got my car in running condition with a 27T and lipo and in the first heat I heard comments like "whens the last time you've seen one of those" and "I can't believe how good its doing". I took second that night. I'm car 2
Right now I have upgraded my car to run the B4 rims. checkout

Yes, it can be competitive. As someone said earlier consider the RPM Trans upgrade. I would also outfit the RPM trans with a B3 slipper.

We run them every year at our Vintage off-road Nationals, they are just as competitive as todays cars. In fact the rear end is planted on these cars using todays modern tires!
