When i travel with the rc stuff i check in most of it using one of those black contigo containers and i put a note in there that says what is in there so when they open it, nothing comes as a surprise. I do carry my lipos in my laptop bag for carry on. It goes through the machine and never had any problems or questions. Just seems like an extra laptop battery. Not sure if this is still true with the new law above but when i went a few weeks ago, had no problems.

http://www.stormcase.com/

http://www.pelican.com/

I prefer the storm case over the pelican. Personal preference. I like the handles and latches on the storm case more than the pelican case. I have had latches on the pelican case come open during transporting/shipping. Not the hole lid just 1 or 2 latches out of the 5 or 6 latches on the large cases. I think the fit, finish is better and on average the price is better on the storm case. The storm case does seem to flex more than the pelican if you stand on or jump on them.

Here's another informative .pdf doc with rules and regulations for bringing batteries (all kinds) on the plane.

http://safetravel.dot.gov/documents/..._batteries.pdf

From the doc: "Spare lithium batteries (both lithium metal and lithium ion/polymer) are prohibited in checked baggage."

You can bring small lipos and up to 2 larger size in your carry on, but not in your checked baggage, unless it's installed into a device.
