Default TRAXXAS SLASH 4x4 SETUP HELP

i recently bought my first slash 4x4. bought it on a wed night and bashed it all evening and the next day...well i broke down and bought another that friday and im not gonna bash it jus wanna race it...wondering if anyone out there had any setup tips for me i took it out the box added a traxxas cooling fan and aluminum shock tops, wondering if anyone had and setups out there that seem to b workin really good....i run all outdoor stuff around here in north carolina...thanks guys any help is greatly appreciated

they have Steve Slaydens setup on the traxxas forum

yea i seen that i jus dont understand some of the words he uses or phrases...like hole 2 ok well from which end of the control arm and it says upper mid 2 stuff like that he lost me..

Your manual has a very good suggestion/instruction on page: 20, under the heading: Shock Mounting Positions

Do the fronts at 3, and the rears at 4 (instead of 5, like it says)!!! It was a huge improvement!

Also, add the 4mm spacer to the front shocks! (I had to use a ruler to figure that one out)

where in North Carolina do you live?

I live in Elizabeth City, there is an RC race this weekend (Sunday 21st) at Dixieland Motorsports. 8 am sign up 8:00-9:30 practice then drivers meeting 9:45 and racing starts at 10:00.

As far as which hole is which refer to the owners manual. It labels them in there.

thanks alot guys....i live in the charlotte area did alota racing at crc before christmas now that they moved to a new location and havent finished their track been racing at The Grove in rock hill, sc
