Default Speed passion hard to turn

As the title says, i have a speed passion 6.5T and i realized that is very hard to turn. it is pretty much impossible by hand!

When is on the car, obviously the wheels cant spin freerly.

Is this normal for this barnd? I have been using a mamba and i havent had this problem!

Thanks!

No, this is never a normal instance. Motor should spin easily, with drag only with magnetic force on arm.

that happened with one of my old speed passion motors. replace your sensor wire, or take it apart, and make sure everything is together correctly. i cant remember what i did to make mine work again, but it did include something with the sensor wire, and nothing else.

My 2 cents!

Had a similar problem with my 13.5 SP motor after five months of every Fri night racing. Put new bearings in it, fixed it.

IF it was a brush motor i would look at a loose magnet!!!!!

What speed passion motor is it V1,v3 the V3 is the newer one and has
plug in bullet connectors and a removable sensor wire. Check the bearings.
If you took it apart recently check make sure the shim si still there. The sensor board does not make any contact with the shaft at all. I would take the shaft out and place it in each bearing one at a time and see if it binds up.

If you have removed it, or soldered on it lately, make sure there isn't solder shorting out 2-3 tabs/wires... Seen this happen MANY times... Kevin

I am not too sure on the V, however it came with the GT 2.0 PRO ESC and the it is SLM6.5...cant see anything more than this however it is not sensored.

Thanks everyone for the replys! I have tried to pull it a part but honestly the only thing part i was able to remove was the balck cap on the back! I have removed the 3 short screws on the back and the 3 long ones in the front but nothing is coming off. I tend to belive that the black plate on the back should slide off but it deosnt move. On the other motors i have i can remove both the front and the rear plate but this one do not have a fornt plate.

Cheers!

The plate should come right off, sounds like the bearing is bound.
Can you get a picture of this motor. I thought all of the speed
passion motors were sensored based.
