Goop,

Madison and Hardesty's are also very large tracks, not to mention Bristal and Oshkosh and Greenbay. Leisure Hours is on the small size for 1/8 but it is the BEST indoor track in the midwest hands down

Well once the track is done and built then it can be told if its big enough for 1/8th scale cars. To me an 1/8th scale track is a track with at least 35 second lap times....and a track where an electric buggy or truck is not faster. Lets see what happens when the RSJ track is built and what it looks like. But Jesse is right there are other tracks closer then you think that are rather large....lets just see what the RJS guys have in store for everyone when it gets finished up.

Jesse, what are the addresses of those tracks? I'd like to try them out if I can get there.

Dave,

www.nitrofarm.com will have the address for that track.

Bristol is roughly hwy 50 and 45 in bristol in an industrial park.

Madison is 5 minutes off of freeway just north of madison.

The nitrofarm and madison are the best tracks in Wisconsin, Hardestys (hour or so from chi-town) in Indianna is an incredible track, Rc pro series race at the end of may.

Couple questions about the track:

1. What classes are going to be run? I have the Savage and Mini-T ready to go, but the Hyper 7 is still in assembly.

2. Will personal transponders be used?

3. Will the pits be outdoors or inside? If outdoors, are there outlets available for chargers, etc.?

Thanks,
Jimmy

in off road we will try to accomidate everything. and yes that means even mini-t's. the savage is a huge part of the offroad as 8th scales are. there will be pits inside and out and yes there will be outlets outside .

Default Bringing this thread back from the dead....

Just wanted to let everyone know about the 1st annual Hurricane Motorsports Off Road Shoot Out, that RSJ Raceways in Libertyville IL. will be hosting. Its a 2 day Off road event on the weekend of August 21st and 22nd with Electric on the 21st and Nitro on the 22nd. All classes will be run....and 3 of a kind make a class. Trophies for the top 8 in all A mains and 1,2,3rd in the B mains. All electric classes will be 5 minute qualifiers and mains with Single A mains. There will even be a Mini-T class on Saturday....they work awesome on the track and any electric powered Mini-T can race. Nitro will have 5 minute qualifiers with 30 minute A mains and bump ups from the lower mains. Top 6 go to the A main the last two spots will be the top two finishers from the B main. B mains will be 20 minutes all other mains will be 15 minutes. Entry fee is 30 bucks for the first class 15 for the second class. You can sign up on www.rsjraceways.com and also find out more information there.

The Track is being expanded as I type this to 95ft long to 80ft wide with plenty of big air jumps. New dirt was added to the track to make it bigger and to make the bigger air jumps. There is lots of free goodies to be given away for this race lots of companies have sent in great door prizes.

Any questions feel free to ask......
