Yeah, I run oval at MMR but for offroad I'll prob run outside again out in Saint Cloud. Can't waste that sunshine. MN only gets like 6 weeks of summer.

Not sure the last time you were down there, but ever since MMR leased out the space next door and built the dedicated offroad track and went to 3 races per week it's been growing pretty well. There were 18 in stock stadium truck last weekend when I went to go see what kits people are running these days. "Hot" for MN at least. Only box-stock slash had more entries (and they always do).

MMR's hot oval class right now is the SK modifieds. Generally draws 12-15 people and we're usually picking up another racer in that class every other week.

tamiya hop-ups are always high if they're sold at full retail.

It's hard to find a US based retailer who stocks 201 parts/hopups. Pretty much TamiyaUSA, Speedtech or Ebay.

Wow July seems like a big month for the 201.
Especially with this new chassis set.

Does the 11 mm mean + 11 mm in length?

Is that a new car or a chassis? 26,800 yen works out to $270 US. Seems pretty steep for a chassis even if that is MSRP.

It says its a "Chassis Conversion Set".

My guess is the 26,800yen is the list price so the actual "street price" has got be significantly lower.

I'm not thrilled about an aluminum chassis myself. It's pricing is sure to be higher than the car itself, which at least for me, will keep me from buying it. At least the big bores don't appear to be crazy expensive.

I'm not too thrilled about it either. I got rid of my 22 last year and went back to the TRF201. For the last 3 months I had my 22, the chassis was slightly tweaked, and it made the car even more sensitive to setup changes. If my adjustments were not ahead of how the track was changing, the car was miserable. The 22 was good before the chassis was tweaked, but it didn't have nearly as wide of a sweet spot as a B4/TRF201 type car. I will stick with my composite chassis, and when I'm ready, will go with a +6mm chassis from track star. Based on the prices of other Tamiya stuff, the chassis conversion should be about $135 street price.
