ya Houston is about 4hrs away. I'm in dallas.

But man i just got off the Caster forum and this things sounds like a nightmare to build. This whole time i though it was assembled, must have got it mixed up with something else.

What has your expericence been with the build? Sounds like the manual is useless and the parts are all messed up in wrong bags. Or just not included.

This will be my first true build even though i have taken apart everycar i have owned a pretty much rebuilt them time and time again.

Yes there are problems with the some of the kits and the instructions. My EX-1 pro was a kit and I had a few problems but nothing like what was mentioned. My EX-1.5 came as a roller, and having build experience wasn't a problem to disassemble and rebuild.

The EX-1.5 was coming as a roller, but apparently some kits came in and some parts were missing and Caster included the EX-1 instructions. The new manual is on line, but there are a few omissions as you probably read on the Caster forum.

Caster USA is aware of the issues and is working to correct them with Caster Racing.

I had 9 EX-1's assembled by high school students, they made all the mistakes that could be made, so I'm pretty familiar with both the EX-1 and EX-1.5. And the team drivers are there to help.

So is the kit assembled? When you say roller i assume that it's all put together, A kit would require assembly.

Nitrolover: are you converting your nitro to electric? or are you just planning to run one battery? if so where do you plan to mount it?

You can get a kit or a roller. I would PM Hakmazter to find out availability of what you prefer.

whats on the caster site for $385 kit or roller?

I'm really considering the caster, my buddy is getting a losi 8 2.0. I really want to be able to race with him. He is going to be running a Xerun 150a esc and a 2000kv motor. I plan to do the same. ( any suggestions would be appreciated)Think he is going to run 4s. I might as well since it has the two battery trays, but kinda thinking 3s as well and running a single battery. Is there any single battery trays that you can mount over the center of the buggy?

thanks for all the help.

2000kv is perfect on 4s. run 2 2s packs with a 14 tooth pinion and you will be set.

I am not sure what is on the site. Just shoot him a PM and Hakmazter will let you know if he has kits or rollers.

If you don't want to assemble it I would assemble it for you free of charge, just pay the shipping.

Clayton Neal is in Texas also. He just redid Granberry Hobbies track (I think closer to Austin??) He just picked up a new 2010 truggy and has been a Caster USA customer, then team driver since 2007 and has seen it all.

$385 is pro kit. We have 2 that are assembled and will offer a assembled version and a kit version. You get to decide what way you want to go.

There are advantages to each method....depending on your mechanical aptitude, but we have the best help tech support in the industry at our forums.

Yes I will be converting my old nitro to electric and getting a new one for nitro... I am planning to mount the battery on the left side and have the motor on the right so a traditional setup.

Reaper I guess I could but the batts I plan on using are big don't think those will work but we'll see
