Default Ask Frank Root...Losi, Xcelorin, Losi Racing Tires...

Hey Guys,

I have a new team for the 2010 season, Team Losi Racing! I will be running all Team Losi and Horizon Hobby products with my Airtronic radios from this point on, so I thought I might start a fresh thread with a new title.

If you have any questions on setup, tuning, tire choice, driving technique or anything else, please feel free to post them here, and I'll respond as soon as I am able.

Thanks!

Frank Root

Will you be running the same setup on the 2wheel as Dustin Evans or come up with something of your own?

Thanks for offering assistance. I just got back My Xcelorin 1/8 scale ESC. I kept bragging that everyone else must be doing something wrong to burn theirs up and then mine simply quit at my last race.

Anyway, the one that Horizon sent back (very quickly too!) has much larger capacitors on the outside of the case. Is that going to fix the reliability problems people have been having? Is there anything else that has been done to bring the reliability up?

Honestly, I was very happy with how the thing ran until it quit, but when it went, it was on the first lap of practice at a race. Everything was very cool and nothing else seemed to be able to cause it.

I started with Dyno's setup and will go from there. I am looking forward to working with Dustin, Matt, Billy and the rest of the team to come up a setup we all like that'll get us to the front!

To be honest, I have just gotten the Xcelorin esc, so the one I have is the latest spec. I am sure this is what you have gotten (if there are different specs) and should run great. If you have any questions on setup, feel free to ask.

Do you have any insight on when the XXX-CR kits will be back in stock? Or when the new 2wheel will be debuted and if it will be the Frank Root edition

Oh and one more question reguarding the Xcelorin speed controls. Will there be a program update or a newer version that has dynamic timing controls to better compete with other products out there in stock classes?
