Default Aeolian brushless speed controls- anybody tried them yet?

I've seen some of these Aeolian esc on ebay for even cheaper than the Ezruns and am considering them for a couple of my run them every once in a while RC's. I know Aeolian has a pretty good rep with helicopter/airplanes but has anyone tried the car esc? Looks interesting.

The 100a Aeolian esc is the same as this one from hobbyking..
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ade_version%29
After reading those reviews it sounds very promising. So I'm guessing the less powerful ones would be good too. I was planning on buying a 100a to put in my 1/8th buggy so..
Great find!

I thought they looked the same also. Hobbyking usually doesn't sell junk and they are great about fixing any. I'm going to get one of the 45a for my brat and if it does good I'll get the 80a for an esavage. Reliable brushless and 2.4ghz rx/tx are getting cheaper fast!

The 100a hobbyking esc is junk, I went through 2 of them. Both had an intermittent delay in the throttle and would randomly reset themselves. don't waste your money.

I'm still waiting on mine. I promise I will postb info s soon as I have it. If you do get one don't get it from who I did(someone on ebay, will post name later), as the shipping takes FOREVER.

I have one of those. Have it in my old 3906 e-maxx running 4S on a hobbyking 1900kv XL motor.
The ESC is holding up good so far. Waterproofed it using plastidip.

Got it from eBay. Its veeeery cheep.
Under the "Aeolian motor" sticker on the plastic cover its another sticker saying "Quik 100A", so its the same as hobbykings but less expensive.

LVC is a bit weird.. set it to 3.1 or 3.2V/cell but it does not cut off as supposed. Have read about this some place else, and the fix is to buy the programming card from hobbyking (about 5 bucks) and set the exact voltage you want it to cut at. Just ordered a card, probably will arrive in 2-3 weeks.

The reset thingy you wrote, I experienced the same problm at first. I found out it was the switch bouncing around in the truck. I removed the switch and joined the two pins with a motherboard jumper, and it works like a charm now.

Threw on my hobbyking wattsup meter and drowe around a bit.
A peak 94A!
W peak 1650W

No problem, 100A spec seems fair. Burst current spec I do not know.. havent found it.
Never runs hot. Always feels cold. Motor is much hotter and using a big cooler.
Truck is geared for ~30mph (50kmh)

The ESC comes with NO connectors.

I'm not allowed to post links or images (new user) so just add http colon backslash backslash and see the esc and setup I have.
Some one else, please post a reply and include my images, it will be easier for other users to see them.

Well I got mine and it came on fine. Throttle range set up fine. Then I went to change some parameters and it didn't take right. When my 4s was connected it beeped twice indicating a 2s battery?? Then I reset it back to default settings and it indicated 4s again, but it wouldn't go when throttle was operated. I tried to recalibrate to transmitter and now it won't do anything. The fan comes on but thats it. Any suggestions?? So my initial review is JUNK just like havatitan said.

I brought one of the 80a units back in mid february. the shipping was taking an age so i went back to the supplier and they informed me the unit was delayed due to it being a new product that required additional testing. it finally arrived today, but having soldered it in the fan worked and the steering servo worked but the unit itself didnt work. after i messed around with the throttle it spluttered into life briefly, burned out my eurgle receiver and has refused to do anything on any of my other receivers since.

NOT HAPPY

Yeah they are def JUNK. Also I bought mine from airwave2002hk on ebay(also know as leadershobby.com). I have left several emails with no response. Oh well, I've learned my lesson.

I agree completely.

shame because the next nearest esc's in value are about twice the price.
