Default full throttle

hey guys im new and have a question about my traxxas rustler, its electric everything is stock and about a year old. I can only give it about 3/4 throttle, when i give it full throttle it just cuts out. this really sux because i cant bring it up to full speed. if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

are you running the stock mechanical speed control?

If so, It's likely that the contacts on your speed control are dirty.

Unplug it, and spray it with motor spray, or dis-assemble it, and clean it with a pencil eraser.

i had that problem to but not with a rustler. i just got all new electronics. it was about time anyway

thanks guys, but what contacts do you mean? any of the connectors? or on the servo controller? or on the motor?
