why would you wand a 2wd buggy instead of 4wd?
 

Is it just for sport? or class racing or something?

driving a 2wd buggy is more challengeing and harder then 4wd so it makes u maybe a more skillfull driver?

Nobody makes a decent durable 4wd buggy and parts are expensive.

yes, this is true. plus, 4wd's generally break more and have alot more wear. you have two diffs and stuff. plus they are most expensive out of the two right from the box.

DEX410 is the most durable 4WD out there.
I have a B44 and i only bronken 2 a arms. and a cracked shock tower form when an RC8 hit me.

but the thing is, do you hit stuff?

My 4wd buggy is pretty durable.. it handles end over end tumbles and rolls very well.. the only thing it cant stand is head on collision with concrete curbs.. now that has cost me a buck or two when i first got the thing.. but these answers are about what i figured the 4wd is more expensive and the 2wd takes more expertise on the control

It also depends on the classes available in your area. We have a 4WD class at our track, but it's mod only. If you want to race stock, it has to be 2WD.

I think they oth have goods and bads. I want a 4wd but hate ball diffs, like the Dex but dont like $650 or no parts in the US, Bmax maybe $400 is much better an i am sure they are both very durable. I also am looking at the Cat SX, I wont buy a B44 because they break too much from what I have seen. The d4 would be a good option because its like the B44 but stronger but I hear its getting discontinued. 2wd does hone your skills much better I think it does the best. But lots of cars are old in this class except the xxxcr and the new cougar and the Losi is getting old. The cougar or the new Dex 2wd would be the way to go. But 2wd buggy when driven correctly fast. Another ting is 2wd is popular where I am and 4wd isntreally which sucks.

I built my losi xx4 in 1997 and its still as strong as it was when first built. i dont have any problems with durablity,or parts. losi still makes all the parts and the parts are cheap.The losi xx4 is in my opinion is the most stablist 4wd buggy ever made,it keeps up with the hot bodies and b44's and what ever else comes to the track. its true its harder to drive a 2wd buggy,a 2wd anything will make you a better driver and as you get better you move up in class,you spend the money.its called racing just got to love it

Do you have a 4wd buggy? Because what's in your signature isn't a 4wd buggy, it's a 1/8 buggy. Huge difference between a 1/8 4wd buggy and the cars that are actually called 4wd buggies(1/10 scale).:nod:

2wd buggies are harder to drive(teaches you the most), are cheaper and considered by some to be more durable.

4wd buggies are easier to drive(and in turn don't teach you as much), are more expensive, and considered by some to be more fragile.

1/8 buggies are much easier to drive than either of the above, definitely cost more, and are SUPER TOUGH!

I have owned a couple B44s in the past after seeing one guy at our local track go full blast over the biggest jump there and tumble dozens of times. Never breaking anything. Made me want one so I went and bought one similar. Brushless, lipo, etc and every single time I drove it a shock shaft broke. Nothing else, stupid shock shafts by the box full.

Fun car but way too easy to drive. If you want to learn how to drive get a 2wd buggy and once you get good at that 4 wheel will come very easy!

X100 having my son start out driving a 2wd along with an 1/8 scale buggy has made him a great driver. He has had to learn to control the 2wd around corners without spining out, in doing this it has helped him to control his 1/8 scale buggy very well.....

well yes, i thought i had a 4wd buggy? But it is 1/8th scale? The same as in the sig.. whats the huge difference?
