Well I bought my kit yesterday. Hoping to purchase my motor and esc combo today. I've been between A mm pro 5700 or a novak hv pro 5.5 or 6.5...I here running the 1/8 scale novak setups is the way to go. Awesome power lower temps. Now what size pinion should I start with if I go with novak? My lhs gas the mamba in stock but not the novak. Any help is appreciated as this is my first switch over to electric. Also anyone have any batt recomendation? Thank you.

Get the Mamba 5700, run the pinion that comes with the truck as a base line, and find a decent 2S lipo, something in the 30+c rating, and around 5000 mah. That should get you started. Everything else will depend on where and how you race it.

With the Novak system I would start with a 14t and check your temps.
