Default My new Hyper 9E

Just got a new hyper 9e and im pretty excited to run it. it has

-2650kv Mamba Monster sustem
-Spektrum 6040, some say its a little weak but it feels pretty fast, ill see what it does on the track
-16t pinion

As of now everything is stock, i tried dying the wheels black but they came out purple. that sucked but of well. i got a good deal on the car, i got it for $300.00 at Revelation in Ontario. The owner had it for a long time and it wasnt selling so he gave me, what i thought was a great deal.

the guys at rev are good guys. they have helped me alot at no charge to repair parts and such. the hyper9e is is a good starter car. but rev is one of my favorite tracks to go to. its 1/8 scale racing or nothing.

Looks sweet... and a great deal if you got it with electronics for $300... I'd have bought that..

Is that only a 2s battery?

says 7.4v on it in one of the later pics. that might be a problem with the MMM/2650 combo. I run a hyper 7 conversion with the 2200 and the difference between 3s and 4s is pretty big, I can only imagine what its like on a 2s....

yea its a 2s but i was only testing the electronics with it. i bought the electronics separate, i got the car by itself for 300. everywhere else they had it for like 389, i thought 300 was pretty good. i have all my 2s batteries in pairs, in anticipation of running 8th scale, so i planned on running 4 cells but i think that might be to much, so i plan on running 3 cells, im just waiting for hobby partz to restock their 3 cell gens ace lipos.

i have a friend that runs 2s on his hyper 9e on smaller tracks and 3s at revelation and its pretty fast. ive heard that on a 2050 you have to run a 4 cell to get the right rpms

I like running my 9e at Rev, I run a 2200 on 4s and drop the dual rate to 85 and is still rips. It likes Rev track I don little changes as a matter a fact I have not done changes in a while to run at Rev other than dropping Xray silver springs on the car. I always have fun running my electric car out there.

of course that when i talked to you last at revelation, you were telling me about your hyper 9e. i got the 2650 because i got a good deal on it, it was 200 and never used. if i find it to be to much ill get a 2200kv but i think it might be oh with a 3 cell battery. im going to run it as it is stock and then ill get the x ray silver springs. What oil are you running on your diffs and shocks? and i remember you mentioned drilling out your rear shock pistons to 1.6 or something like that? anyways im going to be running mostly at revelation since its close to where i live, so ill probably just follow your setup. thanks

i dont think the hyper 7 quite measures up to the hyper 9e. on my hyper 10sc i hardly ever broke anything, and i feel pretty good about this cars durability. even if i didnt get the discount i got i would have bought this car anyways, i wanted it over the losi8 and the rc8b. this car was specifically designed to be electric whereas those other cars were simply converted from their nitro versions. and they are more expensive, well not so much the rc8b but the losi is.
