I'm liking the build so far, the instructions do leave something to be desired just like the dex410 instructions. I'll put up some pix when I'm done, building this for my son so he has a rear motor option....I may have to take it for a spin once or twice though

Guys I'm a Schumacher Driver, got this for my son to mess with. I'll go pull open the bag with the layshaft and check my Schuie spurs on it, stand by for 10 minutes!

I got there in the end, but not a novice build. My Schumacher SV was a more enjoyable build. Just hope it does the talking on the track as I'll be ordering an Orion R10 for it.

Saw Neil at RW Racing today, he's working hard on spurs..

If you have a really nice set of bits(meaning more numerous than quality) it is quite easy to slowly open up the hole in a AE spur I had to do it for use on a TQ SC truck. Go in the smallest increments you have and drill by hand if possible. That will help the bit center itself.

Important note: When you assemble the front axles its a good idea to threadlock the screw on the backside, let it dry, back it out and re-threadlock it. Got about 20-25 laps before it fell off on the first run. Building up the threadlock will help it to lock in more securely.

It would be a good idea to clean all screws and metal parts with motor spray before assembling. They all have oil residue from the machining process that keeps the threadlock from working.

Most definitely, and I did. We had the same issue on the wheels screws on Cush's 22 and after a couple applications of threadlock it was a non issue. I may check mcmaster carr for screws with a clump of nylon in the screw- same concept as a nyloc nut, but on a screw.
