Do you have set up your shocks with rebound?
May you can look for some TD "type b -2 spring retainers", this also could help for lowering the right high and not having the collars screwed up that much?
But you would need two sets of them!

Any known substitute for the ball ends?
Gear diff o-ring 4x2 mm correct?
As for the o-rings on the geard diff, i use those in the link below from TD, but i think any 4x2 mm o-ring works!
Most of the 1/8 scale buggys use these sice in the shocks.

For the differentials I would at least use the purple P4. They have a higher S rating. Blue are great for shocks. I actually use one purple on the outside and blue on the inside. Someone gave that tip way back in this thread.
I actually have been using the standard orange Kyosho P4 with good results.

I just measured the black x o-ring from the gear diff and cannot measure 4x2 mm in any way. It seems like the inner diameter is 5mm and the outer diameter is 8 mm (making the thickness of the o-ring around 1.5 mm). See the pic below. Are you sure that this will fit?
I just happen to have a Hot Bodies "P4" o-ring that I don't even remember what I used it for. But look and see how it's "loose" inside the diff housing compared to the original x o-ring.
Any thoughts? This is the gear diff for my DEX210 (original).

Hey guys, I was about to purchase the purple o-rings shown below but then stopped short.

Thanks for the quick reply! When I put the o-ring on the outdrive and spin the outdrive, the o-ring spins WITH the outdrive vs. the outdrive spinning inside the o-ring. So the o-ring AND the outdrive both spin inside the housing. Is this the same with you?

That's Okay if it spins with the outdrive. Once it is all assembled it should still spin freely.

Can't want for him to get older, so I can bring him to LHS, pointing my finger to what ever I want, and tell the counter staff, "He, want this…"

I saw something very nice recently on Exotek's website: some new 12mm titanium front axles for the dex210, in stock
When I looked for them a couple months ago I had to ask a British shop to send me what they had lol. I wonder how many exotek has in stock. Or where they found them.

Fred, what are your thoughts about keeping the gap between the top of the springs and the shock collars? It seems like my choice is to either:
1) eliminate the gap by bringing the shock collars down = ride height increases more than 17mm but I retain jumping ability with full suspension travel
2) eliminate the gap by adjusting the droop screws = lift inside tire during cornering and reduced suspension travel for jumps.[/QUOTE]
Why worry about it? Does that gap effect anything? I could see when unload it would "float", I guess it could lead to inconsistenCy though...
Maybe a limiting spacer on the shock shaft INSIDE the shock...?

I only use the shock collars to determine ride height. If there's a gap at full droop, it doesn't really matter but there might be too much droop at that point.

Anyway, yes, I’ve got that one. I’m about to mail the collection of body’s to TBG and then it’s in their hands. Wanted and was ready to do it a few weeks ago but priorities priorities.
As of right now the only body’s i was unable to locate or didn’t get for one reason or another are the DESC410V2 and the DEX210V3.
The only body that I’m currently tracking for the dex210v3 is with a kit in Australia; I just can’t justify paying $500 US for a kit I don’t need. I’ve already spent A TON on this project. I’ve got everything else: 408,408T, 210 V1 reg, Cfwd,+8mm CFwd, 210V2, all the 410’s, DESC210R, DEST210R, DEX8,DNX8, and DEX8T. Plus a few 210 body’s that didn’t come with kits.
I ignored the DESC410 body because any SCT body pretty much fits and it’s not distinctive like the DESC210R body.
They’re coming guys, I’ve been talking weekly with TBG and they are anxiously awaiting them.
Hopefully we make it worth their while.
Last call on the DEX210V3. I’ll send it separate if I can get one. If someone is sitting on one, just know that you’d only be without a body for the next couple months, then you’d get two free ones from me.....

The DESC410V2 body looks identical to the one for the DESC210.
