The shorty pack shifting the weight forward gave me the exit steering I was looking for without sacrificing much rear grip. Drilled new holes for the rear battery stop and used foam in the front to take up 10mm of gap.
Slight change in rear RC and now it's dialed.
That also opened up some real estate behind the pack to move my rx and esc to the center of the chassis
Can't wait to take it out next weekend

In RM mode that's exactly how I'd recommend running a shorty or nearly so.
how do you guys run your shorty in your MM4 car?
i've been running it all the way back for the local indoor clay track.

I ran mine all the way back, but that was in blinky. Mm4 will create a ton of weight transfer, especially with a mod motor, so shock oils/pistons will really come into play. I went 5wt lighter in the rear, and the lost on power steering almost altogether.
Its weird that durango have gone from gullwing arms to straight arms while assoc went from straight arms to gullwing coz they said it was better, also to the guy building the side pods to allow saddle packs, i thought keeping all the weight down the centre of the car was better for handling so what advantage does your chassis design offer?

I'm looking for TD330599 (type B aluminum LRC -2mm RR pivot block), I'll be at Motorama and ideally want it before then if anyone has one they'll part with. PM me if you got one.
Gullwing arms don't change roll center at all. The only thing that matter is the location of the inner and outer hinge pins in relation to the camber link. That doesn't change. A gullwing arm only affects the shock mounting location. A change to the shock tower can negate that as well. I honestly don't see how one can handle any differently than the other except for the effect that a slightly lower mounted shock has.

I have access to a few of them. All NIP. A friend from Scotland carried them over but it's expensive. The GBP rate was just higher and shipping to him added costs as well. I'll PM you details but if anyone else is interested, PM me.
