Think he is talking about the 2mm of spacers under the inner camber link ball stud. I'll have to give that a try and see if I notice any added on power steering.

Just saw these on TD site,

http://www.team-durango.com/part-inf...artNo=TD310459

Does anyone know if this is the new gear box they used at the worlds?

No, not the same gearbox as the worlds, just a sturdier v1 with an additional camberlink mounting hole and the sway bar mount molded into it.

Bummer, I guess I'll finish working on my mod diff case. I've managed to drop it 1.5mm and will try to get it moved 2mm fwd. Also going to use the LRC FR/RR hinge pin holders to get this thing planted.

Hello All,

this updated gearbox is used with some other new Type B parts to allow much easier gearbox access when in RM. it also has at lot of strength and geometry updates for rear inner camber links.

http://www.team-durango.com/part-inf...artNo=TD320269
and
http://www.team-durango.com/part-inf...artNo=TD320270

the rear 'finger' brace no longer traps the gearbox.
the upper brace for RM now screws in from the top instead of underneath through the the 'finger' brace.

regarding the worlds gearbox, to be quite honest, the performance gain we thought we might get just wasn't there for the new gearbox. its certainly nothing worth releasing just yet, we will continue to work and update for future versions.

I'm quite happy seeing this new gearbox. I was close to cutting off the standard camber link location so I could add a new plate with locations farther out. I'd love to know what the outer location spacing is for these but for the price I'll just find out myself.

Thanks for the updated, would you know if the chassis is the same as far as any new hole locations for any updates? Are they coming out with a +8 alum chassis?

I really like using the new 'wide' position on my 210, I find it makes the car square up really nicely when exiting the turn. I use it flat with no washers.

I can't really share too much information about yet to be announced/released parts I'm afraid. but I know you will all be happy with whats upcoming.

Have you broken any old or new gearboxes at the camber mount? I'd run the inside just for strength purposes. It's such a pain to change that I out the tresrey cf plate on.

I'd bet money 90% of the ones that break if not more are due to the stud backing out, the owner not realizing it, and then having a bad hit. If the stud were in all the way, I honestly don't know how people break them. With my desc210 and dex210 I've had some awful wrecks at times and never had issues with towers or the camber locations. Just my 2c

I sideswiped the board along the main straight away full speed with my RTR and managed to pop out the inner camber link from the RF hanger. If there was a hit I've had to break the gearbox that would have been it.

I've broken the camber mount off an old design gearbox, but never off the new one, even when using the outer hole.

but if you have strength concerns then for sure the inner holes will be safer, if you're also happy with your car setup using the inner holes then its just a strength gain for you.

either way its win win

Definitely wasn't the stud in my case. I've broken 2. I've only broken them on the buggy. I have a dex210/desc210/dest210. I'm not a good driver yet.
