For the gear diff do you guys use oils or black grease?

Ya, the shafts kinda through me for sure, they didnt look too bad when I was putting them together, figured it was some tarnish or some thing and would clean off with some oil, wrong!! Ended up chucking them in the drill and polishing with some compound, they are good now, but not some thing I thought I'd be doing to new parts.
I have some large diameter counter sinking bits, might see if one of those would work to put a shampfer on the inside of the caps. The cap to body seal is a bad design, should have better provision for the o-ring to be captured.

I started using the orings off the regular bore shocks for the cap seals. They require more stretch to get them on, making them a bit smaller. That coupled with a chamfer on the cap and no issues at all.

Very weird about the shafts, but I polish mine (and hinge pins) on initial build anyways.

So I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a Hitech HS-7945TH servo when I came across this SC-1251MG low profile servo here on this thread. Is it better to have a low profile servo for this buggy? Are the too even in the same league with each other? Can I get some feedback from folks that have used either and they 2 cents. Right now I'm running a HS-5645MG, would it even be worth the upgrade? Thanks
