I read about a lexan gearcover. can anyone where I can buy one.
I find the original to brittle, I keep breaking off the holes where you screw it on the motorplate
edit: I found it at RCshox. and ordered one.

Does anyones rear shocks look like this?
(not the actual shock but shows what I am on about)...
It just doesnt seem right to me, that on full compression the piston is what limits the travel, could possibly damage the piston (or worse?).
Also, has anyone else put the ackermann plate on the bottom side?
While I was building it I noticed the link is on a hell of an angle compared to the A-Arm, and just moved it to straighten it up last night.
Still havnt really ran the buggy yet though, might do tomorrow.

Gearing for 17.5 Blinky mode.
So far in my car I have only run mod. But the summer indoor racing season is starting in 2 weeks and I need a starting gear setup. I am running an Orion VST 17.5, but will switch back to my Reedy Sonic, wasnt as impressed with the VST as I was begging myself to. I have all spur gear sizes from RW. This will be Blinky mode. Im thinking of starting with a 69/35 with endbell timing cranked all they way up on the sonic.

About half a thread, was as far as I could get it on.
I just uploaded a pic showing it.
I moved the bump stop up the shaft, compressed the shock let it come back out and this is the result.
I might pull the tops off the shocks tomorrow just to double check but I think its safe to say that they do extend past the body.
When it does max out it is a sudden solid stop, I cant think of anything else that could cause it.

Well that just sucks.
Why not just put the right length ones in to begin with?
Is this something unique to my kit or something thats in every kit?
So now I gotta go and spend $12 to get the right ones (not a lot of money by any means but something that I see, shouldnt have to do).
Or I could just knock those 2mm off the stock shaft (threaded end) with a dremel... for free.
