To be honest I haven't gone RM3 yet as I really like the 4 gear fwd bite, esp on our loose tracks. I feel the RM4 is more responsive in the air too, esp once you alter the rear wing angle

The aim with the feel of the gear diff is if you can close your eyes and it feels ball diff like, you're on the money Don't get me wrong, the ball diff is the best out there, the gear diff is just more consistent and can handle more motor...

If I didn't prefer the HV savox servos I would definitely consider that shorty one so I could place the battery even more forward.

I've always been a big fan of kyosho springs, thought I'd try and find a good spring combination and I settled on the buggy soft/white for front and rear. Have been very happy with them, with the shorty pack now though the front and rear have almost perfect balance spring wise.

All that with a tresrey steering plate, lunsford ballstuds, turnbuckles and cups, TD gear diff with kyosho 5k diff oil, absolutely loving this car couldn't be happier.
How did you get those? I don't see those on the hobbycity site? Nevermind i found them.... Thanks though

looking forward to turning some laps and giving feed back as well
My boosted 17.5 tonight was just blazing fast. One tip, try a short lipo. I borrowed a friends Losi pack and its just awesome. Car can dart around the track at incredible speeds. I have had them all so far, and this is the fastest I have ever been able to push a car without it coming loose, until the track dries up hard as a rock, then some tuning needs to be done. It is also the most sensitive car to changes, You can feel every one. Stick with it and find your setup and you'll be tearing it up.

I'm still running 6 hole pistons. and I asked Hupo Honigl to look at my setup ( outdoor hardpacked clay/dirt.

He advised me to run 4 hole pistons front and rear -
like 4x1,4mm front and 4x1,3mm rear!

What springs, with the Dark Blue, 30 weight Losi, and 1.3X4 my rear suspension is pretty stiff as it is.

Anyone try 22 or B4.1 lunsford turnbuckles?

I figure they may have to be trimmed down, but for 25 for a set of 6 vs 24 for 2 210 buckles, I can break out the dremmel.

(this was with the full length lipo, will try setup with short pack all the way forward tomorrow).

Yeah keep us posted. I just ordered my 210 kit today and can't wait to hit up the local So Cal tracks with a good baseline setup.

You don't need a dremel, you can buy lunsford turnbuckles that are the same length as the stockers. They sell ALL KINDS of lengths.

I'm ordering up some parts for my 210 build and will be using a 7.5t motor and was wondering if 83 RW spur/ 22t pinion is a good starting gear ratio for a medium-sized indoor track?

What springs should I carry with me for med-high traction indoor clay. So far, I'm thinking light red and black fronts. Any other fronts I should get and how about rear springs?

Also, which brand closed cell foams work great with JC gold bar codes? AKA reds?

yep 83 is a good mid range spur, the smallest pinion u can go with with a 83 tooth spur is (99-83) around 16 so FDR range is 13.5 ~ as low as you dare . I myself have the 69, 76, 78 and today got the 83 RW spur. Testing and racing saturday with the 83 (with new 10.5 MMM motor).
