Really thinking about this buggy, looks pretty cool. I was wondering what spares are good to have? I thought I heard where the car comes with spare arms????

Looks like a trans case and some ball studs are needed for spares....any others?

The right side seems to mate up just fine and line up with the steering rack mount, but the holes don't line up, and the left side just doesn't line up with ANYTHING.
Are you talking about during assembly? You need to leave the side pods loose so everything can be moved around during the assembly of that section. Once you get it all together and the screws started then you can tighten everything down its all good.

I had some on-road shims from my corally that I used. There was quite a bit of play though. When I change the fluid after this weekend I will get back to you.

Broke my first piece today on the car. a SCT landed on top of me and decided to continue to 4x4 over me during practice. Thought it broke my shock towers but it broke one of my rear arms. Kind of an odd break.

Broke a rear A-arm as well but it had a Lunsford titanium hinge pin and bent that! I was fighting for the same airspace after a jump with a ST, truck won and I came down on the rear a-arm. snap!

also you guys with noisy trannsmissions---I tore my tranny down to switch from MM3 to MM4 for running ozite. In MM3 my tranny was noisy.so I gave the trans a quick go-thru while I was at it..I noticed that the top shaft gear fit the top shaft a little sloppy..so i used some thin CA to put a thin layer of CA on the top shaft where the gear rides..just put it on and wiped it off with a rag..the gear still slid on the shaft, but way more snugly than it previously did..No more sloppy wiggle on the shaft and viola, no more noisy trannsmission when it went back together

Dave,

You will appreciate the tunability of the car. As for breakage; Jeremy and I have been running the car since its release with only a steering rack and shock eyelet for breakage. We run the TC5 ballstuds with Jason's ballcups as well as his body and rear hexes. Make the jump....you'll be glad you did!
