Make sure you have these (long diff outdrives) not the stock short ones.

I have had a V1 for over 8 months and always ran full droop and never had a shaft pop but I have since ugraded everything to a v2 and went to the -2 LRC RR Block and had it pop out twice.

After getting the above part I ran a full race day with some large incidents and no drive shaft pop out issues

First front tower failure I have ever had and it was with the v2 tower 3 races old.

To its credit I didn't notice till I got home and it didn't really lose any stiffness.

if it doesn't slide out nicely, heat it up with a soldering iron. That also sounds like a reason to get some quality MIP tools as well

without reading 1000 pages~

I just got a kit ver. RTR with a HobbyWing 80esc and a Castle 5700kV motor, receiver and cheap servo in a trade for an RX8 with a Tenshock motor.

I'd been eyeing up the B5 for a while... but this seemed like a good idea.

Is there ANYONE who makes 12mm hex hubs for this thing? If not.... is anyone interested in it? (PM me if you are, I'll post pics and a FS thread.)

Thanks,

Ben

Nobody makes actual 12mm hexs specifically for the durango cars.... BUT, some simply use 12mm AE rear hexs and pins (direct fit with no modification needed), and then either b5 or kyosho front hexes + spacers, combined with a steering hub from a durango desc210 or dest210. :edit: With this setup your stuck at 3mm trailing, which is where most run anyway

Thanks for the info!

I think I'll keep this thing and mess around with it for a while.

A buddy of mine offered the trade, so I took him up on the offer.

I've never had a 2wd buggy; it seems that there are plenty of guys who like the kit. I was kind of thinking about getting a b5 anyway.

(the reason I was asking about the 12mm hubs is because I have a D413, and a few sets of rear wheels/tires for that that I'd like to swap out rather than buy new wheels and tires if I'm not going to keep the kit~)

B4/B44 rear hexes, NOT B5 rear hexes, since the Durango has 3/16" axles; just to make sure you know. The B5 hexes won't fit.

Hi Guys,
Looking for a little advice.
I have built up a new v2 and have the gearbox in mm4 config.
The gearbox however has a pretty nasty tight spot in it.
I tried changing the shimming, flipping all the gears every which way but to no avail.
If anyone has any tips on things i can check or do it would be great.

Cheers
