Strange. I have the purple cap motor, maybe that's the difference. It is either angled forward to where the C tab is right below the slipper shaft (17.5 gearing) or way back to where I don't want my wires.

The shaft side cap only has 4 holes to thread into and they are on the bottom. The top is machined out and pretty, but I would have benefitted with more mounting holes.

It worked out though, I ran A & B below the tower straight in and C through the bottom center of the tower and turned it in to grab the solder post.

Rotate the end bell with the mounting screws. You need to unscrew the three screws then just lift a little and rotate.

I've had to do this on every D3.5 that I own.

I'm having trouble finding the new or the old gearbox as well. Tower and Amain don't seem to have them. Anyone know of stock somewhere please post links!

I'm also looking for a used extra long alum chassis. Probably the RDRP. Anyone know of one? I did some searching already through the buy and sell section so I apologize for posting here just wanted to hit all the DEX210 guys.

Thanks!

Love your custom Mid motor setup!

in your thumbnail I see graphite side rails, where did they come from?

Looks like you are using some B4 parts to attach the gearbox to the battery hold down?

I made the chassis and carbon side plates, the brace from the trans to the battery hold down is off an 1/8 buggy i had in my spare parts bin.

My new MM4 shorty pack setup. I'm liking the speed passion motor setup as it makes it cleaner and less protrusions on the top of the body.

I couldn't quite fit my ESC and fan under my rear bulkhead so I opted to go ESC in front of the battery. Of course wiring is shorter all the way around the other way but this way seems ok for now and I have some adjustment to move the shorty pack forward. I think the newer slim fan will fit however…..

Has anyone done a MM4 long chassis setup that fits everything down the middle with the full size battery? Post pics please!!

very very cool. Let me know if you think you might make more. I also thought it would be cool to have a small brace to connect the gearboxes up top where you added your tie rod stiffener. Is the battery brace you have available somewhere?

Thanks!

Made that also! It is all my design, it's convertable to run rear motor also. It can also run a full size lipo down the middle.
Plan to put it in production if there is enough interest in it

I'm a big proponent of mid motor but my initial thought is that you should set it up in rear first and then try mid later on.

This new exotek piece looks great!

http://www.exotekracing.com/dex210-r...ith-shims-lrc/ It allows you to shim for your kick up settings. No disassembly required!

I'm also considering their graphite chassis with aluminum front plate. Anyone else tried it?

The RDRP is a great option as well…does anyone make a skin/cover for it?
