Wouldn't mind checking out that chassis when you get it. Do you go to practice nights at R/C Raceway at all, or just race days?

YES! But another route would be to use AE B4 turnbuckles into the durango ball cups, some have also noticed reduced popped cups. I did the expensive "Gold" ball route below:

ASC31293 (long head 10mm thread)
X2 front shock tower
X4 front hubs
X2 rear gearbox

short head:
x2 Ackerman plate 8mm ASC31289
x2 rear hubs 10mm ASC31290

So to do redo everything on my dex210 I ordered
ASC31293 x 4
ASC31289 x 1
ASC31290 x 1
Associated Setup W/ JC ball cups PN: 2026
Associated B4 Ti Turnbuckle set: PN: ASC1282

I haven't been up there in a while. I have been running on carpet all winter. I only run race days. I will head up there once I get to see how it runs on dirt.

I wanna use the Yokomo ballcups together with Losi turnbuckles, but which ballstuds fits the Yokomo ballcups?? Will the Losi ballstuds fit??

Many thanks :-)

Ok, so I pulled the trigger and got myself a 210 I was looking at the RW spur gears on Amain and noticed that the are designed for the AE slipper pads. If I get these spur gears am i going to have to change to the AE pads or can I use the stock 210 pads? I may just leave the spur alone and see what i can do with the motor I'll have in it. I have the 6 piece even numbered Robinson racing pinion gear set to experiment with. I may have missed this question previously since I didn't actually read all 700+ pages (working on it though).

Your fine, AE pads and Durango pads are interchangeable. RW spurs are good that's all I run in my 210.

I found out that the AE pads are slightly thicker, and therefore a better pad then the rango pad.

the AE pads fits perfect in the RW spur.

I only run RW spurs and AE pads in my dex and desc

Its just my opinion but i feel the AE pads are not as consistent as the stock pads. I had a harder time getting the AE pads to feel just right.

Has anyone tried Velcro for the battery mount? I hated the stock plastic thumb screws on mine, so I made some slots and used Velcro straps from a 22. I much prefer this over thumb screws, especially since they cost $7-10 for a pair of aluminum ones.

I struggled to get the ae pads working for me also , the stock seem to glaze faster for me but the glaze is easy to get off I felt like I had to take off a lot more ae slipper material to get rid of the glaze , I do run with the slipper pretty tight but I also have a 10.5t no boost so no crazy power but leisure hours raceway is usually super high bite wet clay

So far my planned setup is looking like this
MMP esc w/ CC 4600kv 4 pole motor (540 size)
Spektrum Radio and receiver
Savox SC-1251MG Low Profile Digital "High Speed" Metal Gear Servo (Speed @ 6.0V: .09
Torque @ 6.0V: 125 oz-in)
Schumacher "Cut stagger" front tires
Schumacher "Block" rears
J-Concepts Firm closed cell profiled inserts (Dark Blue)
Robinson racing 6 pack of pinions (evens 26 down)
And 3 2S packs of roughly 5000mah 40C

I also purchased an aluminum steering linkage, the gear differential, and planning on getting the 75 and 69 tooth RW spur gears. Only thing I wonder about is how well the diffs well tolerate the 4 pole motor. I imagine the gear diff may hold up better. As long as everything lasts till the end of the deployment, I'll be tearing it down and replacing worn out pieces before I actually start racing it either way. Any opinions on what I should expect of the differentials with this motor?

Jonu,
Not sure why you'd want to put a 4 pole sensorless combo in your car for racing. You could easily afford a better sensored racing combo for the same money (Hobbywing, Speed Passion). Also, those spur gears will be useless with a 4600kv motor unless you want to do about 95km/h (~60mph). Those size spurs are used for racing stock 17.5T. They are so small that you wont be able to fit anything smaller than about a 30t pinion.
Good luck!

I don't plan on using it once i get back stateside from deployment for racing. At the moment, I'm just going to be running it in an open dirt field by the motorpool and that is my best option. My other option is a 550 size motor that is in an Exo. I have a few much better options once i get home, but i didn't feel like buying another motor when i have 3 perfectly good ones sitting in storage. I guess i'll see how it does with the stock gearing, my guess is that the motor will barely warm up.
