Durango DEX210 Thread
Just received the front and rear SS Skid/Chassis plates from BMan's 3XNT.
Thanks
Fit and Finish are perfect. Very thin and strong.
The Rear plate has more material and more mounting holes compared to his original version.
Weight - Front/10.6g and Rear/13.7g
Thickness - less than 1mm (0.88mm)
Will test in a few days.
I have no doubt that it will be way better than the stock alu plates that I used before. The Stock alu plates were 2.5mm and really picked up a lot of clay and debris.
Still using the dimec chassis with the broken rear end
Will report back in a few days.
Thanks

I have used B-man's chassis plates in the past, before they updated the ZX5FS to the FS2 chassis and never had a broken chassis after install, good stuff B-man..

the plates that Bman makes are awesome!
dimec flex with no worries, i run on a tight supercross indoor clay track lots of chassis abuse? holding up like a dream
fit and finish are top notch and the price is very very good!

I thought I'd throw in that I broke six C-hubs so far off of light impacts but I have yet to pop a ball cup off. The smashed hubs still have the ball end connected. Only one front shock tower broken yet.
Unfortunately the reputation of Durango among the racers in our area is that the trucks are great on carpet, need work to run awesome on dirt but they are brittle as heck. We also drive in cooler temperatures in the indoor tracks on the winter so that doesn't help. Its frustrating being the only non-losi at an event and watching those trucks smash around all day without breakage.
I agree the trucks are on the brittle side but the upside to them is worthwhile.
Until I can get a supply of hubs the truck sits and is just raced without practice or warmup laps. No practicing makes for a bad day in the 2wd buggy class. I am also waiting for a dimec chassis for quite a while now too.

Looks good Ted, just an fyi though, my son broke his right behind the front plate you have where the kickup flattens out and begins to widen. The collision more than likely would have broken any plastic chassis, but just saying..

I thought the front plate was cut short on my part. but if you look at the plate you can see where its taking the abuse. got my fingers crossed it gets me through motorama this weekend.

I'm sure it will, the incident that broke my sons car would have taken out most any. High speed straight into a crashed car (RB6)--ouch.

I will have rear skid plates at Motorama if need be. I got a short supply from B Man today to distribute if needed. Come find me at Motorama.

Any recommendations on a servo saver to work with a Savox servo in a DEX210? I broke two c-hubs in two consecutive races.

I don't like savers myself on these 1/10's but thats just me.
