Please buy the +8 chassis, I promise u won't b disappointed. I have tested all three chassis, dimec dimec20 and STD. Hands down either +8 chassis is better than the STD one on my track(indoor clay). I can't imagine how the STD chassis would b better outdoor either which is I'm sure why the rtr kit comes with the +8.

+1 on lighter shock oils. I lost 40grams when I switched over, that is why u need lighter oil.

That still doesn't explain how he ended up paying $189 for a dex210.

$229 - $35 is only $194 in my book.

Reason I ask, tower has a pretty killer deal right now on it. basically $300 out the door with a lipo if you are a member.

Do you still need to buy the same upgrade parts like the steering link for the vehicle?
I was wondering this too. Looking at a 210 or svr to replace my academy gv2. Minus the chassis and gear diff, is the rtr the same car? I will be dumping the radio, but using the esc and 13.5 in another car for that class. Are the big bores and everything else the same between the two cars? I will only be running rear motor, so I don't mind everything isn't included to do the swap.

Yes, but I believe it does come with a servo saver and minus the alloy washers and alum rear susp brace.

If you do order it, there's a separate listing for the free t-shirt. It's a combo deal. I found it out of luck.

Default Gearing guide

Hey guys,
I was helping out someone yesterday with their 210 and he was running stock, which I do not run. He was under geared and in trying to help him i realized that we don't have a great reference to help with gearing for this car. sure u can sift through endless posts and try to get the answer, but most likely u will just get confused and frustrated. Petit rc has given us an unbelievable tool for looking up things, but this is lacking and would be a nice addition. So here is what I propose:

If everyone sends me their motor wind, spur and pinion, and track size(small, med, large) I will put together a spreadsheet and post it so everyone can reference it.

Since I am sure to get different variations I will sift through and try to put down which makes the most logical sense. This won't be perfect, but it can be a great starting point that should be able to get u within a tooth of where u need to be, which would be a great reference. All I would ask is if u aren't really experienced and sure that u have the proper gear ratio, then don't give it to me, that way we make sure we get good info. I know there are some really knowledgeable guys on here, so I am calling out to you guys to help with this project.

Please PM me info, that way we don't clog the thread, then I will post the results here when it is finished.

Thanks guys,
Campbell

Any of you who abandoned the ball diff to a gear diff want to sell your old ball diff?

Thank you sir. Two more questions. Servo saver something most guys are upgrading too and running? Rear brace something I would look to invest in, or is it strictly a durability issue?

One more- Do they make a specific +8 body, or do they all fit? Aftermarkets fit, etc...?

I see that you are running the 4 gear rear mount trans , how do you like it and does it help with anything?

I run on a very low traction track, lots of loam, and between the 3 gear and the 4 gear the increase in on power traction is very helpful. Its funny, the tires of choice are the old school step pins or ifmar studs.
