I'm curious when a Short Course will be released based on the 210 design?

For me the brand I will run will be the one who has their 2wd buggy and 2wd SC based on the same platform, and is metric! Right now it's coming down to TLR or Durango. TLR decided to do a 2wd stadium truck first, guess well have to wait and see what Durango does.

Its definitely going to be fun to try out and see what effect it has. I think that running the motor with it spinning rearward would transfer more weight to the rear on power but then also transfer more weight forward when braking.

I wonder how large an effect this has now that we're in the brushless era. When X-factory realized the effect on thier mid-motor cars we were still running brushed motors who's armatures had far more mass than a BL's rotor. I don't have any first hand experience with the X car so I can't comment on how it changed with the new motors.

This car sure looks interesting though.

Team durango... any info on it's relative wheel base to the B4 or 22? Hopefully the car isn't as long as the 22... I like riding in the back of Limos, not racing them.

The benefit of being able to use 3 or 4 gear rear motor is it will allow you to have the motor rotating in the same direction as the drive train. This should provide more forward traction.

Just measured the car here on my desk at 273mm - but there's adjustments possible front and rear in both directions so this can be lengthend and shortened slightly.

Same wheelbase as the B4.1.

kinda disappointed in that.. i know teams are using what works, but i would've liked to see some testing with different lengths..

its not like the longer chassis wouldn'tve helped a few years ago.. they didn't become great tuning aids over night.

i wonder if durango will add this as an option in 6mos

I can't say what option parts the team are working on but the development of the DEX210 platform will continue.

I am pumped to get this kit. I've got it on pre-order from Amain. One of the local guys already sold his 22 because of the slop in the rack. I was going to get a 22 but decided against it after seeing how bad his 22 was (in terms of slop). I don't think the chassis length will be a major blow to the 210. You should be able to find a great setup for your track conditions with the 210.

Why is anyone complaining about chassis length before they even drive it? The B4 people are trying to make their chassis longer while the 22 drivers want a shorter one. Wheelbase has been changing as long as cars have been around and there still has yet to be a magic number. A number is a number. How it drives is what counts.

Keep in mind, that the B4.1's were stretched for the Ifmar worlds euro style tracks where they use alot of 3/4 to full throttle and big effin jumps! Longer chassis was beneficial for these conditions.

Car (B4.1) already has mass steering , so why not make it longer for smoother steering , extra traction & stability.....

What I heard ....

Guessing we will all know
which is preferred after a few more indoors events ....

back to Durango
