personally I go used and find servos like the airtronics 94358. Ended up getting some in for like $20 each. specs good too as it was a high end servo back in the day.

Outside of that, savox has a variety of cheap servos and I think servos are on sale at amain still.

The body I had on backorder at Tower showed up today and oddly enough, it was in Hobbico packaging. And Hobbico Germany at that. I'd really love to know wtf is going on.

In some of the Durango help videos they are wearing Hobbico shirts. Like in this one.

I'll have to see if I can find a place that sells them in the US. Otherwise I might check out some cheap Savox ones. I use their higher end ones in my cars but I haven't ever looked at their lower priced ones.

The body that Tower shipped me is missing the window masks.

The Savox 1257tg is a solid servo, 1258tg if you want something a little bit slower.

I'd get that if I was looking for one for myself. I'm liking the Savox 1251 I have in my buggy right now though.

What's up guys? I just bought a brand new DEX 210V3 for half the price of a B6. Spares are easy to find here in Europe and usually pretty cheap so needless to say I'm pretty happy .

I haven't built the kit yet, but I have a few questions before I even start:

1) Should I go MM3 or MM4? (I've never owned a mid motor buggy). I will be running it on medium grip bumpy astro and (maybe) high grip carpet. On Petitrc there is 1 setup sheet for MM3 while there are over 100 for MM4 but those are usually a few years old and I know the current trend is towards MM3, so...Can I get some insight from anyone running on similar conditions?

2) Is there anything I should know before I start the build? Errors, tricks, etc...? I'm doing as much research as I can but sadly I don't have the time to read al 1200+ pages

Thanks a lot.

Honestly, I ran many savox servos and I don't like them. I stripped them, overheat them and for the price is just not worth it. I tried the turnigy servo and man. For the price is a great servo and way better than the savox. Highly recommend.

Hi Fearo, congrats to the purchase, you will not be dissapointed with the dex210!

From witch country in europe are you?

Setupwise, i cant give you any infos, but i do prefere mm3, exapt at an bumpy, loos, or blowen out dirt track, there i would go for rm3!

For building the dex210, take your time, espacially at the diff, its very importend, that the circlip is sitting in the diff correctly and dont put to much greas at the diff balls and washer, otherwise, just follow the manual, or the building videos at the td webside.

Get exotek 12mm hexes if you can. Also the Zero bump steering plate from Revolution designs ( I think thats it) .

The sideways shorty mod or get the exotek chassis would be something else I would look into.

I have a Savox 1251mg and Solar D770's. I had the Savox first and only use the Solar now. Aside from the size difference, I can't tell a performance difference. The Solar being a third the price makes them very attractive.

I know what you mean 're set ups not being available.

I started off with mm4 but found it very hard to drive, after two years trying I changed to mm3 and found so much quicker on the apex and easier to drive. I went from being lapped twice to finishing on the same lap just or only 1 lap down.

Only recently raced on astro, I went up to the red front spring and black rear. Astro was bumpy and found the front was great but the rear was bouncing so went back to kit. I think dark red would be ideal as between kit and black.

Geo wise I found I have to run longer rear top links to stop lifting an inside wheel exiting a corner. Was running zero anti squat but tried 1.5' recently to try to get it to put the power down better and square up a bit, it was a little fish taily before.
On carpet I found that running 17mm ride height makes the front roll centre very stiff and needs a couple of washers to balance it out. red front and black rear spring on carpet was great.

Hth
Pete
Ps I am just a club racer and back in the hobby following a 17 year break.
