I guess I'll be the test dummy for it. The guy said its for the DEX210V2 so who knows. If it doesn't fit, oh well, I'll find a use for it. May end up being an excuse to pick up the DEX210V nothing for really cheap to run as a rear motor buggy. One can only try.

Thanks Fred. I don't know how well the exotek chassis have been selling. Hopefully well enough for Mike to make a 3 gear lay down with new battery brace.

My kids thrashed the body on my wife's buggy so I painted her a new one.

I cross referenced the part number on the Team Durango web site and this is what I came up with. It says it will fit the V2. Now I'm really confused..lol

That is a V1 body. it says it will fit the V2 as an option part because you could make it fit but with the addition of the V1 sidepods and and V1 aluminium chassis as option parts for the V2.

Besides the V2 and V3 stock bodies, the only other body that will fit on a V2 and V3 is the one that came with the RTR. I can confirm that because I have a DEX210 rtr and a V2. the RTR is like a V1.2 as it came with the V1 arms, towers and gear case but has the V2 sidepod shape and is +8mm longer (like the V2).

Somebody referred me to Penguin RC bodies in the UK. They manufacture V2 bodies.

cheers

OK, so basically to use this body I can either:

Buy the original +8mm DEX210 chassis and side pods. Turning my V3 back into a V1.5.

Buy an original DEX210 to use as a RM car.

Try to retrofit it onto something.

Put it on the shelf and look at it.

OK, I'm a glutton for punishment it would seem. I chose option two and picked up a clean DEX210 off eBay. I was unsure up until the last ten seconds but gave it a go. So now I've got a 210 that I'm going to keep as a RM buggy. I race mostly outdoors so this car should be competitive there. Can't take it with you right?

Hmm, am a bit confused about your idea. The V2, V3 and RTR versions all share the +8mm chassis, the same sidepod shape & size too.

I didn't have a V1, but I suppose it was designed to be able to change from rear to mid motor configuration, just like the newer 210 models. The RTR would be sort of a V1.5 because it uses the V1 towers, diff case and arms but the rest of it is pretty much just like a V2.

I knew a guy who had bought a stolen BMW radio back in the 90's , he liked the radio so much that he ended up buying the car a couple of years later. Lol I tell ya people I can't get myself to hate this buggy. I just found out I have four of them. I'm gonna sell two and focus on running dex210 only. I just get amazed every time I work on the transmission . Durango really did think of everything from the beginning . Good luck with the body man

Yeah I know it's confusing. In a nutshell, I went to buy a body for my DEX210V3 and paint it in my race colors. It was only then that I found out no one has any. So I found a shop that was selling V2 bodies. I posted here and was told it was not really a V2 body and that it would not fit my V3. So to prevent not having a painted body to race with come January, I just bought the car that the body is for. If all else fails, I'll use the +8mm 210 V1 instead of the V3. Being the series is on outdoor tracks, the V1 should still be competitive.

Wow.. I didn't know that the RTR had the larger side pods. I guess you learn something new every day. I guess that means that this body will fit on the V2.

Edit: looks like this one is even harder to find than the v2 or v3.

Yeah this is freaking ridiculous man. Once I get the V1 in the mail I'll compare everything and see what gives. I'll also compare them to all my other buggies and see what else fits. Weird that 210V1 bodies are dime a dozen, including aftermarket Proline Bulldog bodies. But find a body for the current car? Ha! Yeah right! That would be to easy! Team Durango people ALWAYS go over the mountains instead of around them. That's how we roll. Ever since I bought these cars I've been running through the walls instead of using the doors. My wife hates it.......
