I have toyed with selling mine at times but when I look at what is out there and what I have, I keep coming back to it. It does what I want it to do and doesn't complain.

Only issues I have with it are mainly that they should offer different spur gears that aren't $15 a pop. Something oriented for stock racing would be really good.

Couldn't you do the Exotek slipper eliminator and run Kimbrough gears? That could be a good stock class option?

Well the v3 looks good cause I can just upgrade my v2 with parts to make it into a v3, but dissapointed in no change in the chassis to allow sideways shorty or a Square pack batteries.

Looks like im getting the dremel out on my Dimec 20 Chassis and making a sideways Shorty fit.

Is there a list of changed items from v2 to v3 ?
I can see
Ball cups/shock eyelets
Rear CVd's Driveshaft length
12mm hexes
Body
Anything else?

Default New sidepods to fit shorty

I haven't tried sideways shorty but certain situations seem to call for it. How hard to draw up some new sidepods that fit both inline and sideways??

Default Interested in the V3

I am thinking about going with this kit. I have been wanting a new one for awhile but can't pull the trigger on a B5M or new 22 3.0. This kit seems to offer more to me (personally) than the others...mid or rear, stick packs, etc.

I have a few questions. Yes, I have used the search function and checked out Durango's site but would like some clarification from owners of the previous versions or a better understanding of the upcoming kit.

- Stick packs can be used in mid-motor configuration, correct?
- $15.00 spur gears??? Schumacher gears work...can AE spurs be used?
- Is it possible to use B4.1 non-hex wheels front and rear? I found this for the front. Can I simply not use the hex adapter in the rear and bolt up my B4.1 rears?

I am not a racer. I go to a track and run R/C cars...this is something to do for fun so anytime I can use existing pieces (wheels, batteries, etc) on multiple kits is a plus for me.

Thanks guys.

- Stick packs do fit in MM configuration, without the needs for any mods.
- You need to slightly ream out the hole in AE spurs to fit. If you're not after machined spurs, TD offers 81 and 87 molded ones - TD310362 and TD310020.
- To use pin style wheels in the rear you need TD712003, TD714002 and a pin.

Although a more expensive upgrade, the AVID slipper is a nice upgrade. It also allows for more range of spurs and cheaper spurs at that. Then you have a much larger range of sizes down to 69 I believe at $5.99 a piece.
