Default servo stutter

Hey all,

I am having a small problem that I think is coming from my reciever. Sometimes when I put my ear close to my car I can hear a hum/twitch of a servo furiously cranking back and forth. This happens to both the steering and throttle servos. They do not change position, they just hum/vibrate. If I put my finger on it I can really feel the vibration. Also, if I manually adjust the steering/throttle linkage, I can get it to stop. This issue does not really affect my performance at all, but I am going through batteries about every other tank!

I have already tried fresh batteries all around (including the transmitter) and wiggled all the leads and even pulled all the plugs, blew and reinserted. Is my receiver toast? Any other ideas?

All help appreciated..

are either of the servos touching the chassis?? is your receiver touching the chassis??? Is your antenna wire touching the chassis?? all these can be indirectly grounding to the chassis also...

do they resopond normally besides the twitch?

Thanks! Yes the servos are responding normally. I'll check into the grounding thing when I get home. I did not think of that...

be sure to check the wires hitting anything funny.. I saw a guy slicing into his servo wire with his brake disc.. causing jitters like you have
